In Friday's non-league contest, the host Hancock County Hornets basketball team scored a good 53-45 triumph over the Portland Christian Eagles.
The Hornets (8-5) will now prepare for their contest against Whitefield Academy (Louisville, KY). The Wildcats go into the non-league contest with a 6-8 record.
In their next game, the Eagles confront the Kentucky Country Day Bearcats (Louisville, KY) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, January 21. Portland Christian will attempt to better on its 3-9 season record. The Bearcats go into the contest with a 1-8 record after their 57-44 non-league loss to Iroquois (Louisville, KY).
