Nebraska High School Basketball - Holdrege crushes Southern Valley

January 17, 2025: Holdrege, NE 68949

The Holdrege Dusters (Holdrege, NE) basketball crushed the visiting Southern Valley Eagles (Oxford, NE), 89-29 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Dusters now possess a 12-2 record. They play next when they travel to Kearney Catholic for a C1 District 10 bout on Tuesday, January 21. Holdrege will play a Stars team coming off a 79-47 non-league win over St. Cecilia (Hastings, NE). The Stars record now stands at 8-4.

With the loss, Southern Valley falls to 3-12 on the campaign. The Eagles host Southwest (Bartley, NE) to play the Roughriders in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 18. The Roughriders go into the bout with a record of 4-8. Southwest lost 47-42 in their recent non-league bout against Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] (Eustis, NE)
