The Pennington Red Hawks basketball squad scored 74 points and held the visiting Mercersburg Academy Blue Storm to 67 in the Red Hawks non-league victory on Friday.

With the victory, Pennington advances its record to 8-3 on the year. The Red Hawks travel to Malvern Prep (Malvern, PA) to meet the Friars in a non-league battle on Saturday, January 18. The Friars enter the battle with a record of 10-4. Malvern Prep won 48-46 in their recent league battle against Haverford School (Haverford, PA)

The Blue Storm now own a 5-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lawrenceville School for a Mid-Atlantic Prep battle on Saturday, January 18. Mercersburg Academy will meet a Big Red squad coming off a 88-67 league win over Peddie (Hightstown, NJ). The Big Red record now stands at 2-0.
