The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Norton Bluejays (Norton, KS) and the visiting Phillipsburg Panthers (Phillipsburg, KS), observed Norton's basketball team knock off Phillipsburg by a score of 59-50.

The Bluejays (6-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Thomas More Prep-Marian (Hays, KS). The Monarchs come into the non-league challenge with a 3-5 record. In their last challenge, Thomas More Prep-Marian prevailed over Russell (Russell, KS), 55-51, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Panthers encounter the Hill City Ringnecks (Hill City, KS) in a Mid-Continent challenge, on Saturday, January 18.
