Vermont High School Basketball - Winooski holds off Oxbow

The Winooski Spartans basketball team scored 48 points and limited the host Oxbow Olympians to 42 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Friday.
The Spartans now have a 5-2 record. They play next when they host Williamstown for a Mountain game on Monday, January 20. Winooski will confront a Blue Devils team coming off a 57-55 league win over Danville (Danville, VT). The Blue Devils record now stands at 6-5.
With the loss, Oxbow falls to 3-9 on the campaign. The Olympians travel to Sharon Academy (Sharon, VT) to confront the Phoenix in a non-league game on Wednesday, January 22. The Phoenix go into the game with a record of 0-10.
