In Friday's non-league contest, the host Sherwood Warriors basketball team scored a close 61-57 triumph over the Poolesville Falcons.

The Warriors (12-1) will now prepare for their contest against Blake (Silver Spring, MD). The Bengals go into the Montgomery County - East contest with a 11-1 record. In their last contest, Blake nipped Northwood (Silver Spring, MD), 77-32, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Falcons battle the Churchill Bulldogs (Potomac, MD) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, January 18. Poolesville will attempt to better on its 4-8 season record.
