The Salem Lions (Salem, IN) basketball edged the host Scottsburg Warriors (Scottsburg, IN), 56-53 in Friday's league bout.
The Lions now possess a 4-7 record. They play next when they host Corydon Central for a Mid-Southern bout on Friday, January 24. Salem will play a Panthers team coming off a 62-29 non-league win over Crawford County (Marengo, IN). The Panthers record now stands at 10-2.
With the loss, Scottsburg falls to 2-7 on the campaign. The Warriors host New Albany (New Albany, IN) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 18. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 8-1. New Albany won 62-48 in their recent non-league bout against Charlestown (Charlestown, IN)
