The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the St. Francis Spartans (Wheaton, IL) and the visiting IC Catholic Prep Knights (Elmhurst, IL), observed St. Francis's basketball team overwhelm IC Catholic Prep by a score of 71-31.

The Spartans (7-1) will now prepare for their challenge against St. Rita (Chicago, IL). The Mustangs come into the non-league challenge with a 10-0 record. In their last challenge, St. Rita trounced De La Salle (Chicago, IL), 50-31, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Knights encounter the Francis W. Parker Colonels (Chicago, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 18. IC Catholic Prep will attempt to improve on its 0-5 season record. The Colonels come into the challenge with a 2-5 record after their 55-27 non-league win over Northridge (Niles, IL).
