The Salem Witches basketball team scored 49 points and limited the host Saugus Sachems to 29 in the Witches non-league triumph on Friday.

The Witches now possess a 1-2 record. They play next when they host Georgetown for a non-league game on Thursday, January 23.

With the loss, Saugus falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Sachems host Beverly (Beverly, MA) to play the Panthers in a game on Tuesday, January 21. The Panthers go into the game with a record of 7-1. Beverly won 74-35 in their recent league game against Peabody Veterans Memorial (Peabody, MA)
