The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the William Campbell Generals (Naruna, VA) and the visiting Appomattox County Raiders (Appomattox, VA), observed William Campbell's basketball team edge Appomattox County by a margin of 54-48.
The Generals (5-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Dan River (Ringgold, VA). The Wildcats come into the Dogwood challenge with a 1-10 record. In their last challenge, Dan River was tipped by Chatham (Chatham, VA), 47-35, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Raiders battle the Rustburg Red Devils (Rustburg, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 21. Appomattox County will attempt to better on its 5-7 season record. The Red Devils come into the challenge with a 6-5 record after their 53-28 league loss to Liberty (Bedford, VA).
