The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Rector Cougars (Rector, AR) and the host Armorel Tigers (Armorel, AR), observed Rector's basketball team overwhelm Armorel by a score of 56-20.

The Cougars (9-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Piggott (Piggott, AR). The Mohawks come into the 2A Region 3 challenge with a 7-7 record. In their last challenge, Piggott was routed by Buffalo Island Central (Monette, AR), 54-41, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Tigers encounter the Rivercrest Colts (Wilson, AR) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 20. Armorel will attempt to improve on its 3-11 season record. The Colts come into the challenge with a 12-7 record after their 52-12 league win over Hoxie (Hoxie, AR).
