Kentucky High School Basketball - Calloway County triumphant over Rowan County

The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Calloway County Lakers (Murray, KY) and the visiting Rowan County Vikings (Morehead, KY), observed Calloway County's basketball team overwhelm Rowan County by a score of 71-48.

The Lakers (16-2) will now prepare for their challenge against McCracken County (Paducah, KY). The Mustangs come into the non-league challenge with a 7-7 record. In their last challenge, McCracken County trounced Bowling Green (Bowling Green, KY), 40-34, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Vikings battle the Montgomery County Indians (Mt. Sterling, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 18. Rowan County will attempt to improve on its 9-6 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 11-4 record after their 72-30 league loss to George Rogers Clark (Winchester, KY).
