Connecticut High School Basketball - Staples routs Darien

In Friday's league contest, the visiting Staples Wreckers basketball team scored a big 58-33 triumph over the Darien Blue Wave.

The Wreckers (5-5) will now prepare for their contest against Greenwich (Greenwich, CT). The Cardinals go into the Fairfield County contest with a 7-0 record.

In their next game, the Blue Wave confront the Trumbull Eagles (Trumbull, CT) in a Fairfield County contest, on Tuesday, January 21. Darien will attempt to better on its 0-2 season record. The Eagles go into the contest with a 4-4 record after their 47-33 league win over Bridgeport Central (Bridgeport, CT).
