In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Fairmont Cardinals basketball team scored a big 76-38 triumph over the Worthington Trojans.
The Cardinals (10-4) will now prepare for their contest against Marshall (Marshall, MN). The Tigers go into the non-league contest with a 16-1 record. In their last contest, Marshall smashed New Ulm (New Ulm, MN), 80-53, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Trojans confront the Marshall Tigers (Marshall, MN) in a AAA Section 2 contest, on Tuesday, January 21. Worthington will attempt to better on its 1-14 season record. The Tigers go into the contest with a 17-1 record after their 59-40 non-league win over Fairmont (Fairmont, MN).
