In Friday's league contest, the visiting Peabody Warhorses basketball team scored a good 40-24 triumph over the Grant Cougars.
The Warhorses (12-9) will now prepare for their contest against North DeSoto (Stonewall, LA). The Griffins go into the non-league contest with a 8-11 record. In their last contest, North DeSoto was toppled by North Webster (Springhill, LA), 48-43, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Cougars confront the Calvin Cougars (Calvin, LA) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, January 23. Grant will attempt to better on its 3-15 season record.
