In Friday's league contest, the visiting Sigourney Savages basketball team scored a good 52-42 triumph over the H-L-V Warriors.
The Savages (10-4) will now prepare for their contest against Wilton (Wilton, IA). The Beavers go into the non-league contest with a 1-10 record. In their last contest, Wilton was toppled by West Liberty (West Liberty, IA), 60-36, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Warriors confront the Colfax-Mingo Tigerhawks (Colfax, IA) in a South Iowa Cedar contest, on Tuesday, January 21. H-L-V will attempt to better on its 6-6 season record.
