The Normal University Pioneers basketball team scored 41 points and limited the host Jacksonville Crimsons to 16 in the Pioneers league triumph on Friday.
The Pioneers now possess a 7-14 record. They play next when they host Mahomet-Seymour for a non-league game on Thursday, January 23. Normal University will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 45-38 non-league loss to Sacred Heart-Griffin (Springfield, IL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 12-8.
With the loss, Jacksonville falls to 1-20 on the campaign. The Crimsons travel to Bloomington (Bloomington, IL) to confront the Purple Raiders in a non-league game on Saturday, January 18. The Purple Raiders go into the game with a record of 12-5. Bloomington won 59-35 in their recent league game against Danville (Danville, IL)
