Olpe Eagles (Olpe, KS) boosters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Marais des Cygnes Valley Trojans (Melvern, KS), 51-46 in a league match.
With the victory, Olpe upgrades its record to 5-2 on the year. The Eagles travel to Madison (Madison, KS) to face the Bulldogs in a non-league match on Thursday, January 23. The Bulldogs enter the match with a record of 7-0.
The Trojans now sport a 6-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lebo for a Lyon County match on Tuesday, January 21. Marais des Cygnes Valley will face a Wolves squad coming off a 69-12 league win over Northern Heights (Allen, KS). The Wolves record now stands at 7-3.
