In Friday's non-league test, the Thornton Academy Trojans (Saco, ME) basketball squad got by the host Portland Bulldogs (Portland, ME), by a final score of 39-38.
Next, the Trojans clash with the Bonny Eagle Scots (Standish, ME) in a AA South test, on Tuesday, January 21. Thornton Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 4-8 season record. The Scots come into the test with a 1-11 record after their 27-26 league win over Noble (North Berwick, ME).
The Bulldogs (3-11) will now prepare for their test against Biddeford (Biddeford, ME). The Tigers come into the non-league test with a 9-4 record. In their last test, Biddeford was nipped by Marshwood (South Berwick, ME), 53-50, in a non-league test.
