In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Highland Hornets basketball team scored a big 50-25 triumph over the Valley Vikings.
The Hornets (6-3) will now prepare for their contest against West Mesa (Albuquerque, NM). The Mustangs go into the non-league contest with a 4-3 record. In their last contest, West Mesa smashed Manzano (Albuquerque, NM), 39-13, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Vikings battle the Albuquerque Academy Chargers (Albuquerque, NM) in a non-league contest, on Wednesday, January 22. Valley will attempt to better on its 0-6 season record. The Chargers go into the contest with a 2-3 record after their 42-37 non-league loss to Belen (Belen, NM).
