Fans at Friday's league battle between the New Iberia Yellowjackets (New Iberia, LA) and the visiting Comeaux Spartans (Lafayette, LA), saw New Iberia's soccer squad triumph over Comeaux by a count of 8-0.

The Yellowjackets (10-6) will now prepare for their battle against Westminster Academy (Opelousas, LA). The Crusaders enter the non-league battle with a 5-3 record. In their last battle, Westminster Academy notched a victory over Lafayette Christian Academy (Lafayette, LA), 2-0, in a league battle.

Next up, the Spartans battle the Westgate Tigers (New Iberia, LA) in a Division II District 4 battle, on Tuesday, January 21. Comeaux will attempt to upgrade on its 3-10 season record. The Tigers enter the battle with a 1-12 record after their 8-0 league loss to New Iberia (New Iberia, LA).
