In Friday's league test, the Cumberland Clippers (Cumberland, RI) ice hockey squad bounced the visiting Narragansett Mariners (Narragansett, RI), by a tally of 8-2.
Next, the Clippers face the Ponaganset Chieftains (North Scituate, RI) in a Division 2 test, on Friday, January 24. Cumberland will attempt to improve on its 5-5 season record. The Chieftains come into the test with a 9-3 record after their 4-2 league win over Coventry (Coventry, RI).
The Mariners (5-3) will now prepare for their test against East Greenwich (East Greenwich, RI). The Avengers come into the Division 2 test with a 10-1 record. In their last test, East Greenwich nudged South Kingstown (Wakefield, RI), 4-1, in a league test.
