Kansas High School Basketball - Northern Valley can't hold off Wheatland-Grinnell

Wheatland-Grinnell Thunderhawks (Grainfield, KS) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Northern Valley Huskies (Almena, KS), 34-33 in a league match.

With the victory, Wheatland-Grinnell advances its record to 1-0 on the year.

The Huskies now own a 5-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Logan for a match on Friday, January 24. Northern Valley will face a Trojans squad coming off a 55-42 non-league win over Rock Hills (Mankato, KS). The Trojans record now stands at 1-0.
