Pope John Paul II Jaguars (Slidell, LA) backers exited the stadium pleased Friday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Salmen Spartans (Slidell, LA), 8-0 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, Pope John Paul II advances its record to 12-6 on the campaign. The Jaguars host Northlake Christian (Covington, LA) to clash with the Wolverines in a Division IV District 5 test on Monday, January 20. The Wolverines come into the test with a record of 11-2. Northlake Christian won 2-0 in their recent league test against St. Thomas Aquinas (Hammond, LA)

The Spartans now have a 2-8 record. They take the field next when they host Sarah T. Reed for a non-league test on Thursday, January 23.
