The St. Joseph Spartans basketball team scored 58 points and held the visiting Apollo Ridge Vikings to 40 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Spartans now sport a 6-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Eden Christian Academy for a non-league contest on Friday, January 20. St. Joseph will meet a team coming off a 64-50 league win over Propel Braddock Hills (Pittsburgh, PA). The record now stands at 10-2.

The Vikings (1-14) will now prepare for their contest against Summit Academy (Herman, PA). The Knights come into the non-league challenge with a 4-4 record. In their last challenge, Summit Academy was dropped by Neighborhood Academy (Pittsburgh, PA), 57-54, in a league challenge.
