In Wednesday's league outing, the Cascade Christian Challengers (Medford, OR) basketball squad overwhelmed the host South Umpqua Lancers (Myrtle Creek, OR), by a count of 87-43.
The Challengers (13-2) will now prepare for their outing against Coquille (Coquille, OR). The Red Devils go into the 3A Far West outing with a 8-7 record. In their last outing, Coquille smashed Brookings-Harbor (Brookings, OR), 62-48, in a league outing.
The Lancers now hold a 6-9 record. They play next when they host Lakeview for a 3A Far West outing on Friday, January 20. South Umpqua will clash with a Honkers squad coming off a 76-52 league win over Glide (Glide, OR). The Honkers record now stands at 4-9.
