In Wednesday's non-league outing, the Central Montcalm Hornets (Stanton, MI) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Harrison Hornets (Harrison, MI), by a count of 73-51.

The Hornets (2-8) will now prepare for their outing against Big Rapids (Big Rapids, MI). The Cardinals go into the Central State - Gold outing with a 7-1 record. In their last outing, Big Rapids smashed Clare (Clare, MI), 65-53, in a non-league challenge.

Next up, the Hornets play the Beaverton Beavers (Beaverton, MI) in a Jack Pine challenge, on Friday, January 20. Harrison will attempt to improve on its 1-6 season record. The Beavers come into the challenge with a 5-6 record after their 57-30 non-league loss to Tawas Area (Tawas City, MI).
