East Hampton Bellringers (East Hampton, CT) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Coginchaug Regional Blue Devils (Durham, CT), 70-52 in a league bout.

With the win, East Hampton upgrades its record to 6-3 on the season. The Bellringers travel to Portland (Portland, CT) to play the Highlanders in a Shoreline bout on Friday, January 20. The Highlanders go into the bout with a record of 6-4. Portland lost 46-44 in their recent league bout against Morgan (Clinton, CT)

Next up, the Blue Devils play the North Branford Thunderbirds (North Branford, CT) in a Shoreline bout, on Friday, January 20. Coginchaug Regional will attempt to upgrade on its 3-8 season record. The Thunderbirds go into the bout with a 4-8 record after their 59-47 league loss to Old Saybrook (Old Saybrook, CT).
