With the victory, Mount Vernon upgrades its record to 9-4 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Lynden (Lynden, WA) to play the Lions in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest bout on Friday, January 20. The Lions come into the bout with a record of 11-1. Lynden won 61-51 in their recent league bout against Burlington-Edison (Burlington, WA)

Next up, the Golden Eagles play the Anacortes Seahawks (Anacortes, WA) in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest bout, on Friday, January 20. Ferndale will attempt to upgrade on its 1-14 season record. The Seahawks come into the bout with a 13-1 record after their 78-71 league win over Sehome (Bellingham, WA).
