North Warren Central Cougars (Chestertown, NY) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Salem Generals (Salem, NY), 71-18 in a league bout.

With the victory, North Warren Central upgrades its record to 8-3 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Hartford Central (Hartford, NY) to play the Tanagers in a Section 2 Adirondack bout on Friday, January 20. The Tanagers come into the bout with a record of 3-9. Hartford Central lost 64-55 in their recent league bout against Granville (Granville, NY)

Next up, the Generals play the Lake George Warriors (Lake George, NY) in a Section 2 Adirondack bout, on Friday, January 20. Salem will attempt to upgrade on its 0-11 season record. The Warriors come into the bout with a 5-7 record after their 46-38 league win over Fort Ann (Fort Ann, NY).
