Sierra Timberwolves (Manteca, CA) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Central Catholic Raiders (Modesto, CA), 52-45 in a league bout.

With the victory, Sierra upgrades its record to 14-3 on the campaign. The Timberwolves host East Union (Manteca, CA) to play the Lancers in a bout on Friday, January 20. The Lancers come into the bout with a record of 5-3. East Union won 40-38 in their recent league bout against Oakdale (Oakdale, CA)

Next up, the Raiders play the Kimball Jaguars (Tracy, CA) in a bout, on Friday, January 20. Central Catholic will attempt to upgrade on its 7-8 season record. The Jaguars come into the bout with a 11-6 record after their 37-26 league win over Manteca (Manteca, CA).
