The Athens Wildcats basketball team (Athens, PA), was nudged 47-45 in Wednesday's league battle with the visiting Northeast Bradford Panthers (Rome, PA)
The Panthers now sport a 7-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wyalusing Valley for a non-league battle on Friday, January 20.
The Wildcats (8-5) will now prepare for their battle against Blue Ridge (New Milford, PA). The Raiders come into the Lackawanna 4 battle with a 4-5 record. In their last battle, Blue Ridge was nudged by Riverside (Taylor, PA), 43-23, in a non-league battle.
