Indiana High School Basketball - East Chicago Central overwhelms Hammond Morton

Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the East Chicago Central Cardinals (East Chicago, IN) and the visiting Hammond Morton Governors (Hammond, IN), saw East Chicago Central's basketball squad wallop Hammond Morton by a count of 75-53.

With the victory, East Chicago Central upgrades its record to 13-6 on the campaign. The Cardinals host 21st Century Charter (Gary, IN) to play the COUGARS in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 21. The COUGARS come into the challenge with a record of 3-12. 21st Century Charter lost 53-18 in their recent non-league challenge against DeMotte Christian (DeMotte, IN)

Next up, the Governors play the Hammond Central Wolves (Hammond, IN) in a Great Lakes challenge, on Friday, January 20. Hammond Morton will attempt to upgrade on its 7-11 season record. The Wolves come into the challenge with a 6-14 record after their 62-33 non-league loss to Thornwood (South Holland, IL).
