Lake Howell Silver Hawks (Winter Park, FL) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Forest Lake Academy Panthers (Apopka, FL), 37-24 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Lake Howell upgrades its record to 8-8 on the campaign. The Silver Hawks host Oviedo (Oviedo, FL) to play the Lions in a 6A District 5 bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Lions come into the bout with a record of 10-11.

Next up, the Panthers play the International Community Comets (Winter Park, FL) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 19. Forest Lake Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 3-7 season record. The Comets come into the bout with a 0-5 record after their 54-16 non-league loss to Crooms Academy (Sanford, FL).
