The Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons Golden Knights basketball team scored 48 points and restricted the visiting Galway Golden Eagles to 40 in the Golden Knights league victory on Wednesday.

The Golden Knights now sport a 7-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Duanesburg for a Section 2 Western contest on Friday, January 20. Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons will battle a Eagles team coming off a 61-17 league win over Middleburgh (Middleburgh, NY). The Eagles record now stands at 10-3.

The Golden Eagles (4-10) will now prepare for their contest against Schoharie (Schoharie, NY). The Indians come into the Section 2 Western contest with a 5-9 record. In their last contest, Schoharie was defeated by Fonda-Fultonville (Fonda, NY), 77-33, in a league contest.
