Lakeview Honkers (Lakeview, OR) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Glide Wildcats (Glide, OR), 64-21 in a league bout.

With the victory, Lakeview upgrades its record to 14-2 on the campaign. The Honkers travel to South Umpqua (Myrtle Creek, OR) to play the Lancers in a 3A Far West bout on Friday, January 20. The Lancers come into the bout with a record of 4-11. South Umpqua lost 49-24 in their recent league bout against Cascade Christian (Medford, OR)

Next up, the Wildcats play the North Valley Knights (Grants Pass, OR) in a 3A Far West bout, on Friday, January 20. Glide will attempt to upgrade on its 2-9 season record. The Knights come into the bout with a 4-10 record after their 56-18 league loss to Lakeview (Lakeview, OR).
