John Carroll Patriots (Bel Air, MD) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Maryvale Prep (Brooklandville, MD), 2-0 in a league bout.

With the victory, John Carroll upgrades its record to 5-6 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to St. John's Catholic Prep (Buckeystown, MD) to play the Vikings in a IAAM B bout on Wednesday, January 25. The Vikings come into the bout with a record of 0-4.

Next up, the play the Garrison Forest (Owings Mills, MD) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 20. Maryvale Prep will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record.
