    • North Carolina High School Basketball - West Henderson nips Swain County

    January 18, 2023: Bryson City, NC 28713

    West Henderson Falcons (Hendersonville, NC) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Swain County Maroon Devils (Bryson City, NC), 50-45 in a non-league bout.

    With the win, West Henderson upgrades its record to 14-4 on the season. The Falcons host East Henderson (East Flat Rock, NC) to play the Eagles in a 3A Conference 54 bout on Friday, January 20. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 3-13. East Henderson lost 64-17 in their recent league bout against Franklin (Franklin, NC)

    Next up, the Maroon Devils play the Robbinsville Black Knights (Robbinsville, NC) in a 1A Conference 43 - Big bout, on Thursday, January 19. Swain County will attempt to upgrade on its 6-10 season record. The Black Knights go into the bout with a 9-6 record after their 59-53 non-league loss to Cocke County (Newport, TN).
