Tiverton Tigers (Tiverton, RI) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Woonsocket Villa Novans (Woonsocket, RI), 54-11 in a league bout.

With the win, Tiverton upgrades its record to 5-6 on the season. The Tigers host Mount St. Charles Academy (Woonsocket, RI) to clash with the Mounties in a Division 2 bout on Friday, January 20. The Mounties go into the bout with a record of 10-3. Mount St. Charles Academy lost 40-37 in their recent league bout against Moses Brown (Providence, RI)

Next up, the Villa Novans clash with the Mt. Hope Huskies (Bristol, RI) in a Division 2 bout, on Friday, January 20. Woonsocket will attempt to upgrade on its 1-9 season record. The Huskies go into the bout with a 8-4 record after their 59-44 league loss to Chariho (Wood River Junction, RI).
