Washington County Golden Hawks (Sandersville, GA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting West Laurens Raiders (Dexter, GA), 45-40 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Washington County upgrades its record to 1-2 on the season. The Golden Hawks travel to Baldwin (Milledgeville, GA) to play the Braves in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 21. The Braves go into the bout with a record of 2-2.

Next up, the Raiders play the Dodge County Indians (Eastman, GA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 21. West Laurens will attempt to upgrade on its 5-4 season record. The Indians go into the bout with a 2-1 record after their 43-40 non-league loss to Bleckley County (Cochran, GA).
