Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Citronelle Wildcats (Citronelle, AL) and the visiting Rain Red Raiders (Mobile, AL), saw Citronelle's basketball squad hold off Rain by a tally of 51-47.

With the victory, Citronelle improves its record to 4-11 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Faith Academy (Mobile, AL) to play the Rams in a 5A Area 2 challenge on Tuesday, January 23. The Rams come into the challenge with a record of 6-17.

Next up, the Red Raiders play the Gulf Shores Dolphins (Gulf Shores, AL) in a 5A Area 1 challenge, on Friday, January 19. Rain will attempt to improve on its 8-14 season record. The Dolphins come into the challenge with a 13-9 record after their 62-35 non-league win over St. Luke's Episcopal (Mobile, AL).
