In Thursday's non-league match, the visiting Rogers Royals basketball team scored a good 76-63 triumph over the Coon Rapids Cardinals.

With the win, Rogers upgrades its record to 12-3 on the season. The Royals travel to Moorhead (Moorhead, MN) to clash with the Spuds in a AAAA Section 8 bout on Saturday, January 20. The Spuds go into the bout with a record of 7-7. Moorhead won 91-76 in their recent non-league contest against Jamestown (Jamestown, ND)

The Cardinals (6-7) will now prepare for their contest against Blaine (Blaine, MN). The Bengals enter the AAAA Section 7 contest with a 4-10 record. In their last contest, Blaine ran past Anoka (Anoka, MN), 93-88, in a league contest.
