Iowa High School Basketball - Western Dubuque overwhelmed by Iowa City

The Iowa City Little Hawks basketball team scored 70 points and restricted the visiting Western Dubuque Bobcats to 48 in the Little Hawks league victory on Thursday.
The Little Hawks now sport a 5-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Liberty for a Mississippi Valley contest on Friday, January 19. Iowa City will battle a Lightning team coming off a 75-56 league loss to Linn-Mar (Marion, IA). The Lightning record now stands at 3-6.
The Bobcats (3-9) will now prepare for their bout against Dubuque Senior (Dubuque, IA). The Rams go into the Mississippi Valley bout with a 9-1 record. In their last bout, Dubuque Senior was crushed by Kennedy (Cedar Rapids, IA), 57-34, in a league bout.
