In Thursday's non-league outing, the Walsingham Academy Trojans (Williamsburg, VA) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Isle of Wight Academy Chargers (Isle of Wight, VA), by a count of 50-23.
The Trojans (3-12) will now prepare for their outing against Peninsula Catholic (Newport News, VA). The Knights go into the Tidewater Independent outing with a 12-7 record. In their last outing, Peninsula Catholic smashed Norfolk Academy (Norfolk, VA), 56-55, in a league outing.
The Chargers now hold a 0-9 record. They play next when they host Broadwater Academy for a non-league outing on Monday, January 22. Isle of Wight Academy will clash with a Vikings squad coming off a 61-43 non-league win over Holly Grove Christian (Westover, MD). The Vikings record now stands at 3-5.
