The McDonogh Eagles (Owings Mills, MD) basketball nipped the visiting John Carroll Patriots (Bel Air, MD), 41-40 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Eagles (11-5) will now prepare for their test against Pallotti (Laurel, MD). The Panthers go into the MIAA A - Red test with a 5-12 record.
The Patriots now own a 9-7 record. They play next when they travel to Gilman for a MIAA A - Black test on Wednesday, January 24.
