The Lewis Mills Spartans basketball team scored 80 points and held the host Vinal RVT Hawks to 28 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Spartans now sport a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Simsbury for a non-league contest on Monday, January 22. Lewis Mills will meet a Trojans team coming off a 48-46 non-league loss to Enfield (Enfield, CT). The Trojans record now stands at 3-7.

The Hawks (0-9) will now prepare for their contest against Grasso Tech (Groton, CT). The Eagles enter the Connecticut Technical - East contest with a 4-5 record. In their last contest, Grasso Tech was routed by Goodwin Tech (New Britain, CT), 83-74, in a non-league contest.
