Schuylkill Valley Panthers (Leesport, PA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Oley Valley Lynx (Oley, PA), 48-29 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Schuylkill Valley upgrades its record to 10-3 on the season. The Panthers travel to Wyomissing (Wyomissing, PA) to clash with the Spartans in a Berks County 3 bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 5-5. Wyomissing won 55-49 in their recent league bout against Kutztown (Kutztown, PA)

Next up, the Lynx clash with the Tulpehocken Trojans (Bernville, PA) in a Berks County 4 bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Oley Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Trojans go into the bout with a 1-12 record after their 64-25 league loss to Fleetwood (Fleetwood, PA).
