Shawnee Heights Thunderbirds (Tecumseh, KS) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Ozark Tigers (Ozark, MO), 63-39 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Shawnee Heights upgrades its record to 7-2 on the season. The Thunderbirds travel to De Soto (De Soto, KS) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 10-1. De Soto won 61-52 in their recent non-league bout against Basehor-Linwood (Basehor, KS)

Next up, the Tigers play the Olathe West Owls (Olathe, KS) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 20. Ozark will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Owls go into the bout with a 8-2 record after their 58-43 non-league loss to Blue Valley North (Overland Park, KS).
