South Anchorage Wolverines (Anchorage, AK) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Petersburg Vikings (Petersburg, AK), 59-38 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, South Anchorage upgrades its record to 5-5 on the campaign. The Wolverines host Thunder Mountain (Juneau, AK) to play the Falcons in a non-league bout on Friday, January 19. The Falcons come into the bout with a record of 8-3. Thunder Mountain won 68-55 in their recent non-league bout against Lathrop (Fairbanks, AK)

Next up, the Vikings play the Lathrop Malemutes (Fairbanks, AK) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 19. Petersburg will attempt to upgrade on its 5-3 season record. The Malemutes come into the bout with a 5-7 record after their 68-55 non-league loss to Thunder Mountain (Juneau, AK).
