Sacred Heart Trojans (Ville Platte, LA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Academy of Our Lady Penguins (Marrero, LA), 46-29 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Sacred Heart upgrades its record to 20-6 on the season. The Trojans travel to St. Joseph's - Plaucheville (Plaucheville, LA) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 18. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 9-11.

Next up, the Penguins play the Academy of the Sacred Heart Cardinals (New Orleans, LA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 18. Academy of Our Lady will attempt to upgrade on its 2-11 season record.
